Sympathy cards are always hard! I have a hard time dealing with death and funerals, as I am sure most of us do. So, I love to make handmade cards to focus putting as much love as possible into each card. Using my craft to express my deepest sorrow and love, is one way I found to help.
This card is made with Stampin’ Up! products (new + retired), Cuttlebug’s Birds and Swirls embossing folder, and Wplus9’s Gift Card Layers stitched frame die. The colors are SU! Night of Navy and Whisper White. I used a retired SU! DSP – Floral Boutique, which I purchased specifically for sympathy cards. Floral Boutique is a beautiful collection of navy and white patterns and florals. I love the elegance of navy and white. I used the SU! Flourishing Phrases stamp set and SU! Flourish Thinlits dies. Both of these items are perfect for sympathy cards. The stamp set has great sentiments for sympathy, thank you, or get well cards. The die set is an elegant set of flourishes, leaves, and flowers that pairs well with the stamp set. I also used the SU! Stitched Shaped Framelits for the sentiment. Finally, I added SU! Whisper White Organza Ribbon to transition from the DSP to the embossed card base. For detailed printable instructions, click the Printable Card Recipe link below.

2018 Blue Ridge Kindess. Stampin’ Up! Amazing You Sale-A-Bration and Waterfront stamp sets combine beautifully to create a lovely card celebrating kindness. This card combines two of my favorite things…kindness and mountains!
The Waterfront stamp set is my top pick from the 2018 Ocassions Catalog. This set is extremely versatile, plus as mentioned I love mountains 🙂 It can also be used to create beach images. It really can be used to create many nature themed cards. The sentiments are great for letting friends know you care to offerring a little encouragement during rough times.
The Amazing You stamp set can be yours FREE with $50 purchase during Stampin’ Up! 2018 Sale-A-Bration, which ends very soon 3/31/2018. This set is great for celebrations or letting someone know they are Amazing. The flower and burst stamps make great backgrounds or accents.
This card reminds me of the Blue Ridge Mountains here in my home state of NC. Which, if you haven’t seen, are Amazing from a distance! The colors of this card are truly vibrant, the photo does not do them justice. If you would like more details, I have provided instructions for the card in the link below. There is also a supply list of the items used.

Hi there! Today’s post is an all occasion card featuring the Stampin’ Up! 2018 Sale-A-Bration Beautiful Peacock stamp set. I made this card for our monthly Stamping For a Cause event. These events are organized to benefit the Durham’s (NC) Ronald McDonald House. We have a great group of NC Stampin’ Up! Independent Demonstrators that meet monthly for friendship, fun, food, and stamping…all for a great cause!
The card comes together fairly easy, with simple cuts and punches. It features all Stampin’ Up! products. I used the Beautiful Peacock stamp set, the Eastern Palace DSP, and the Mini Tassels from the Eastern Palace Suite. I also used the new Scattered Sequins Dynamic Textured Impressions embossing folder, absolutely love the texture this creates! Supply List is provided below; as well as a link to detailed instructions :). This is such an elegant stamp set that can be used for many occasions.
The Beautiful Peacock stamp set can be yours free with a $50 Stampin’ Up! purchase through 3/31/2018. Visit my store by clicking the “Shop” link in my menu bar. If you have any questions or would like more information, contact my via the “Contact” link in my menu bar. I would love to help.

So Very Happy For You! I made this engagement card for my Sister-in-law and her fiancé. Such a perfect couple💕. I reused an old Stampin’ Up! Paper Pumpkin kit (Jan 2017) and the Stampin’ Up! Happy Celebrations stamp set, Brushstrokes background stamp and Celebrations Duo embossing folder.
I am crushing over the Whole lot of Lovely DSP from Stampin’ Up! Used SU! Colorful Seasons and Brushworks Alphabet stamp sets in Tranquil Tide ink. Can’t wait to play with black floral print… stay tuned😃#coffeemarkcreations #stampinupdemo #stampinup #wholelotoflovely #handmadecard #oranges #tranquiltide #dsp #colorfulseasons
Sneak Peak! The 3×3 cards were made using the new Merry Cafe’ bundle which coordinates with the Coffee Break Suite in the annual catalog. (My favorite suite from that catalog☕️❤️.) The tags, too cute for me to resist😁, were made with the Seasonal Chums bundle – great for those who love to color! The Holiday Catalog is packed full of wonderful ideas and products!! Contact me if you would like to receive a copy of the new holiday catalog. Would love to develop a new crafty friendship!💕#coffeemarkcreations #stampinupdemo #handmadecards #gifttags #merrycafe #seasonalchums #holidaycatalog #stampinup
Hi there! I attended my first NC Demonstrator’s Stampin’ Up! Quarterly event. These events are sponsored by volunteer NC Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators and vary in location throughout the state. Great opportunities to meet fellow Stampin’ Up! demonstrators and have fun making cards and other fun projects.
I was a little “scared” to attend because of the card swap we were doing. A card swap … for 32 people. (Completely voluntary 🙂 ) I had never made 32 of the same cards, plus it was to use new product. Yikes, I only had one new set — choices were limited. When all was said and done, I completed my cards, just in the nick of time, and learned quite a bit about card swaps! There are definitely some points to take home: 1) pick a card you absolutely love, 2) keep in mind that you have to make the card XX# of times, and 3) keep it simple. So I failed on all three 🙂 but that is how we learn. All in All, I had a wonderful time, met some great people, and made some great cards and projects!
I chose the new Eastern Palace bundle but wanted to add my style. It took a while to come with an idea. Once I did, I had to modify it so I could actually make 32 of them 🙂 Here is the card I made as my swap:
I used the Eastern Beauty bundle and went with a Dapper Denim, Blushing Bride, and Very Vanilla color theme. Thanks for stopping by! Until next time, create as many smiles as you can!!
