Sneak Peak! The 3×3 cards were made using the new Merry Cafe’ bundle which coordinates with the Coffee Break Suite in the annual catalog. (My favorite suite from that catalog☕️❤️.) The tags, too cute for me to resist😁, were made with the Seasonal Chums bundle – great for those who love to color! The Holiday Catalog is packed full of wonderful ideas and products!! Contact me if you would like to receive a copy of the new holiday catalog. Would love to develop a new crafty friendship!💕#coffeemarkcreations #stampinupdemo #handmadecards #gifttags #merrycafe #seasonalchums #holidaycatalog #stampinup
Hi there! I attended my first NC Demonstrator’s Stampin’ Up! Quarterly event. These events are sponsored by volunteer NC Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators and vary in location throughout the state. Great opportunities to meet fellow Stampin’ Up! demonstrators and have fun making cards and other fun projects.
I was a little “scared” to attend because of the card swap we were doing. A card swap … for 32 people. (Completely voluntary 🙂 ) I had never made 32 of the same cards, plus it was to use new product. Yikes, I only had one new set — choices were limited. When all was said and done, I completed my cards, just in the nick of time, and learned quite a bit about card swaps! There are definitely some points to take home: 1) pick a card you absolutely love, 2) keep in mind that you have to make the card XX# of times, and 3) keep it simple. So I failed on all three 🙂 but that is how we learn. All in All, I had a wonderful time, met some great people, and made some great cards and projects!
I chose the new Eastern Palace bundle but wanted to add my style. It took a while to come with an idea. Once I did, I had to modify it so I could actually make 32 of them 🙂 Here is the card I made as my swap:
I used the Eastern Beauty bundle and went with a Dapper Denim, Blushing Bride, and Very Vanilla color theme. Thanks for stopping by! Until next time, create as many smiles as you can!!

Hi there! So month two continued to be a fun ride with lots of new product to try and more fun events to attend. I took advantage of the Sale – A – Bration free products and extra Stampin’ Up! reward points. Having been a crafter prior to joining Stampin’ Up!, I had a modest stash of stamps and dies but only had black ink and a few other ink cubes. So I decided to start building my ink pad stash I am so glad I did! Stampin’ Up! ink pads are a joy to use. I love the way the top opens and hinges to be stored underneath the ink pad while using! No more searching for the ink pad top or taking up valuable work space with lids! I started with the Subtle and 2015-2017 In Color Collections
Then onto researching and dabbling in social media. I love sharing what I have learned and created with anyone who will listen I was already a big Pinterest user for ideas and inspiration. So, I decided to try Instagram and Facebook. You can find/follow me on Instagram @CoffeeMarkCreations1, Pinterest @CoffeeMarkCreations and Facebook at CoffeeMarkCreations. Loving Instagram…so much love and inspriration in the crafting word!!
I experienced my first shoebox swap this month. It was pretty awesome and overwhelming at the same time, and there were only 9 swaps. So many beautiful cards shared but limited time to re-create them! I had to finish several of them at home but what a fun time it was creating cards, sharing ideas and laughter and can’t forget the snacks!
For this month’s post, I would like to share a quick and simple Birthday card using the Big on Birthdays stamp set and the Hardwood background stamp. I stamped the background stamp in Tip-Top Taupe on white cardstock. Using a blender pen, I colored the flowers with Mint Macaron and Blushing Bride ink pads, . Then I layered the stamped image sheet on Mint Macaron cardstock. Easy Peasy! This would also look good using any of the Sublte inks and cardstock. Try it out and let me know what color combinations you used!
Thanks for stopping by! Until next month, create as many smiles as you can!!

Hi there! Wow, what a first month! Can I just say that the Stampin’ Up! Community is awesome! First of all my upline, Toni Campana is wonderful! Before I even received my Starter Kit, I joined a group of demonstrators in Durham, NC for a monthly group that supports the Durham Ronald McDonald House. All the ladies were warm and welcoming. They made me feel right at home. We all created gift boxes and filled them with candy for the children and staff of the Ronald McDonald House. I had never visited the house before and I was taken away with how much detail and effort was made to make it feel warm and inviting.
With much anticipation, I received my Starter Kit and dug in. So much information, not to mention wonderful product…what to do first? All this calls for some serious craft room organizing. For now the product stays in the box :). But wait, another Stampin’ Up! (SU!) event. More wonderful ladies and great information.
Back to organizing, and what to do about social media? Lots of questions but great support available at every turn. All while using my favorite SU! die set, so far, the Baker’s Box Thinlits Dies. This is a great box to give small gifts. I am making them for our Girl Scout Troop to fill with candy and patches.
Thanks for stopping by! Stay tuned for more and share my journey as the story unfolds…
