Hi there!
I am starting off with a confession. I have been struggling with my creativity for the past year and a half. In part due to the craziness of 2020 and personal losses, but more so, due to an overwhelming amount of crafting supplies. To coin a new phrase – “craft stash overwhelm”! With so much stuff and an organization system that couldn’t hold it all, the craft room was to put it mildly – a disaster zone. So I headed, full speed ahead, into a major Craft DESTASH! It has been extremely helpful in regaining my creativity 🙂
In addition, a card making technique is helping quite a bit. Creating multiple cards with one or two sheets of specialty paper. I have always loved the one-sheet wonder concept! Recently I have found two new sources of inspiration that have helped spark my creativity and use up my paper.
My first source of inspiration is Alicia of Call Me Crafty Al. I first came across her on You Tube. She provides a monthly design pdf – “Sheetload of Cards”, with layouts and cutting dimensions to create multiple cards with specialty paper and card stock. She also provides an instructional video. Her designs have helped me start to clear out my HUGE amount of specialty paper stash! For the card below, I used Call Me Crafty Al’s December 2020 “Sheetload of Cards” and paired a retired Stampin’ Up! DSP with the new 2021 Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Brilliance stamp set. I am in love with the stamp set! The detail is amazing! One large stamp, stamps 6 different butterflies and the matching dies make creating beautiful butterflies easy 🙂 Call Me Crafty Al’s designs have helped me tap back into my creativity. One of her design team members is a fellow Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, which leads to into my second source of inspiration.

Creatively Chelsey is not only a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator but is also part of the Stampin’ Up! Artisan Design Team. I love seeing her take on the Call Me Crafty Al’s monthly “Sheetload of Cards“. She recently shared a Two-Sheet Wonder Cards – Cutting Guide, along with instructional videos. Her design creates 11 cards from 2 sheets of specialty paper and card stock. I had so much fun using her guide to create my own designs! It really sparked my creativity to work with my chosen paper and stamp set (Tropical Oasis Suite featured in the Stampin’ Up! Jan-Jun 2020 Mini Catalog). Chosen because I have been Hawaii dreaming for quite some time now 🙂 The card below is my take on her Card #2 from the Two-Sheet Wonder Cards guide. As I finish up with my Tropical Oasis specialty paper, I am excitedly thinking about my next paper choice! I have a feeling that it will be beach related 🙂

I would like to publicly express my gratitude to both Alicia of Call Me Crafty Al and Chelsey of Creatively Chelsey. You can find them in the links provided below. If you would like to see the other cards I made from their guides, take a look at my Instagram Account.
