Hi there! I attended my first NC Demonstrator’s Stampin’ Up! Quarterly event. These events are sponsored by volunteer NC Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators and vary in location throughout the state. Great opportunities to meet fellow Stampin’ Up! demonstrators and have fun making cards and other fun projects.
I was a little “scared” to attend because of the card swap we were doing. A card swap … for 32 people. (Completely voluntary 🙂 ) I had never made 32 of the same cards, plus it was to use new product. Yikes, I only had one new set — choices were limited. When all was said and done, I completed my cards, just in the nick of time, and learned quite a bit about card swaps! There are definitely some points to take home: 1) pick a card you absolutely love, 2) keep in mind that you have to make the card XX# of times, and 3) keep it simple. So I failed on all three 🙂 but that is how we learn. All in All, I had a wonderful time, met some great people, and made some great cards and projects!

I chose the new Eastern Palace bundle but wanted to add my style. It took a while to come with an idea. Once I did, I had to modify it so I could actually make 32 of them 🙂 Here is the card I made as my swap:

I used the Eastern Beauty bundle and went with a Dapper Denim, Blushing Bride, and Very Vanilla color theme. Thanks for stopping by! Until next time, create as many smiles as you can!!
