Month Two

Hi there! So month two continued to be a fun ride with lots of new product to try and more fun events to attend. I took advantage of the Sale – A – Bration free products and extra Stampin’ Up! reward points. Having been a crafter prior to joining Stampin’ Up!, I had a modest stash of stamps and dies but only had black ink and a few other ink cubes. So I decided to start building my ink pad stash I am so glad I did! Stampin’ Up! ink pads are a joy to use. I love the way the top opens and hinges to be stored underneath the ink pad while using! No more searching for the ink pad top or taking up valuable work space with lids! I started with the Subtle and 2015-2017 In Color Collections

Then onto researching and dabbling in social media. I love sharing what I have learned and created with anyone who will listen I was already a big Pinterest user for ideas and inspiration. I experienced my first shoebox swap this month. It was pretty awesome and overwhelming at the same time, and there were only 9 swaps. So many beautiful cards shared but limited time to re-create them! I had to finish several of them at home but what a fun time it was creating cards, sharing ideas and laughter and can’t forget the snacks!

For this month’s post, I would like to share a quick and simple Birthday card using the Big on Birthdays stamp set and the Hardwood background stamp. I stamped the background stamp in Tip-Top Taupe on white cardstock. Using a blender pen, I colored the flowers with Mint Macaron and Blushing Bride ink pads, . Then I layered the stamped image sheet on Mint Macaron cardstock. Easy Peasy! This would also look good using any of the Sublte inks and cardstock. Try it out and let me know what color combinations you used!
